Madame Marquise de Pompadour (29 December 1721 - 15 April 1764) was a member of the French court and was the official chief mistress of Louis XV.
Madame de Pompadour was a woman of verve and intelligence. She was highly accomplished, with a good eye for Rococo interiors as well as architecture. She planned buildings like the Place de la Concorde and the Petit Trianon. Having been an acquaintance to Dom Perignon and fascinated by his newly invented "sparkling bubble wine", she became it's biggest promoter and introduced champagne to the French royal court.
It is believed that the "coupe de champagne" (French champagne glass) was modelled on the shape of her breast.

iJ.pompaDour is your second layer outer shell garment. Use it in cold winter riding conditions, above 3°C (37°F). The pompaDour operates best when used in combi nation with the NEW ASSOS skinFoil body insulators, your first next-to-skin layer.

TECHNOLOGICAL ENGINEERING
The iJ.pompaDour has NOT been created as an evolution of the umaJack platform.
Instead, it is inspired by its male sibling, the state of the art iJ.bonKa. ASSOS winter jackets represent ASSOS core competency at its finest: ASSOS custom, exclusive avantgarde fabrics combined with the mythical ASSOS panel design intelligence, our preshaped, riding-position-specific pattern design know-how, and engineered using the ASSOS cycling science of body-mapping. This means applying performance specific textiles to particular parts of the cycling body to ensure perfect body temperature control under cold, winter riding conditions. We protect and insulate your body, we don't suffocate it!
THE CONSTRUCTION
_ The iJ.pompaDour features 30 pattern pieces, 10 different textiles and 12 components.
_ ASSOS technology twinDeckFoiling: The chest front panel section is a labor-intensive double-layer construction, a combination of stratagonUltra airBlock textile outside and RXQ fabric inside. Why? More effective insulation and a better contouring fit.
_ Inside the collar area, the iJ.pompaDour features an additional, ergonomically shaped inner layer turtleneck construction that contours to your chest and neck perfectly. This enables you to work with the front main zipper as an additional ventilation device on uphills, without decreasing chest and neck insulation.
_ Rear panel features ASSOS RX textile for enhanced ventilation, allowing the iJ.pompaDour to wick away water vapor effectively.
_ Integrated ASSOS rear stabilizer panel design, enabling the iJ.pompaDour to click onto your body, reduce vertical stretch and keep loaded pockets where they need to be: in position without sagging. ASSOS patented. Often imitated, never equaled.
_ Upper arms are made out of the new ASSOS airBlock membrane textile, stratagonMedium.
